vicon disc mower

I'm looking at a vicon disc mower. I don't know the model yet but it has six discs. Apparently some welding was done on the bar which melted the silicon seal... I suppose that wouldn't be too hard to fix. What hp would it require?

I had a Vicon 4 disc. My 65hp played with it. Now I have a 6 disc Kubota. Made in th same plant as Vicon. My 65hp doesn't even know its back there. Far as I know they are the only ones with 3 blades per disc. I've never run any other brand but have mowed in same field with a Massey and a New Holland. I can travel faster and do a better job the either of those. I've cut thousands of acres with my Vicon and bota and other then replace blades, not one single problem. I wouldn't consider any other brand.

WHAT WERE THEY WELDING we had a vicon 240that we mowed so much with it the bar was getting VERY thin and seeping oil in a coupleof places one of the first disc mowers in county. on my third VICON mower. 3 blade mowers are the BEST

Disc mower in good shape is a dream to use.

Disc mower that it tweaked is a money pit.

Id be careful I understood what I was getting into and why it was welded and what else is twisted, out of alignment, etc. there are no cheap parts other than blades on those things.....
