Took a little tractor ride yesterday afternoon to view the neighbor's fields outside of Victoria, Texas. Some of you'll call it sorghum, but when I was growing up, and hanging out at my Dad's blacksmith shop, the farmers would come by and drop off their worn sweeps and plow shares for sharpening. And of course their main topic of conversation was their crops. They would always call it maze (maybe slang) That might be related to the word maize, Spanish word for corn. Later on when I lived in Brownsville, it was called Milo, so I guess it's a regional thing, depending on where you live.
So what's it called in your part of the world? Just curious.
