Vintage pumps

Went to an auction and picked up a few
of these old guys, don't know what they
were for or how old they are any info
would be great

My neighbor has one like the one with the handle and He told me He thought it was used to pump water from the water wagon to the steam engine --We could be all wet though!!
 
One use: back in the steam traction engine days, someone had to constantly haul water for the boiler. These pumps were part of the water wagon.
 
"They handled trash pretty well and kept pumping."

I had to chuckle a little bit when I read that. Reminded me of one I heard last night.

A guy was drowning in the ocean and somebody dragged him in and started pumping on his chest. He started getting water coming out of the guys mouth,then sand,crabs,fish....
An old guy was standing nearby and said "You'll drain the ocean if you don't drag his tookus out of the water.".
