Voltage reading over resistor

Cannot get my 6v front distributor 8n to start.
Spark looks fine, brand new 6v battery, new condensator, coil checked, distributor checked, new valves, compression checked, 90- 100 psi.
Starter crankks like rock and roll so sounds healthy to me.
Voltage ckecked over the resitor i.e 3,67 V is this ok?
New fuel i carburor.
What could I do to get the tractor to start?

Where did you check the for the spark?
Your plugs maybe fouled and wet with gas from trying to start and maybe over choking.

" Voltage ckecked over the resitor i.e 3,67 V is this ok?"

Close enough if the points arre closed.

Bump the starter until the points open & re-check it.

You should see battery voltage w/ the points open.

And, as tracman said......

You may need to clean those plugs. And fully charge your battery while you are cleaning the plugs.

" Spark looks fine"

Does it jump a 1/4" gap?

I have two sets of new spark plugs H12 that I have washed
with solvent/ brake cleaning spray. They get wet after cranking
. It fires up for three seconds and dies. The voltage resistor is
the last issue that I come up with to get the engeine going.
Have I forgotten something?

es, you have "forgotten" that the plugs should never get WET. Fuel problem......hopefully just over choking, if you are lucky.

Clean the plugs again & put them back. Charge the battery. Remove the breather hose & spray starting fluid in the carb throat; do not use the choke.

If you don't have starting fluid, use propane from a hand held tank.

Post back w/ results or more questions.

As should all 12v front distributor tractors. (tip # 30)

The problem is that many 12v conversion kits come w/ a ceramic fixed resistor & instructions to remove the ballast resistor. And a weak spark is the result.

clean your plugs, or new, and use a inline spark checker
to verify spark IN the hole.
If ok,
an engine that has run before, with your numbers, that wets plugs
or tries to start and dies immediately usually
means,(with a good verified spark)
over-choking, choke stuck closed, or the needle valve in the carb is hung open and flooding it badly.
If you are running a Zenith, the float needle moves to #1.
(nothing against zeniths, I have a lot of them, but the float needle needs constant attention on them for some reason)

ps before the next attempt, pull the plug on the carb bowl and let it run for a bit, to rule out a bowl filled with water.
