W9 radiator gasket

Does the W9's(C335) core have a gasket between the upper and lower half's? I just took apart one and there was no gasket on either.

yes, it has to have a gasket.

It must be very deteriorated to the point of no recognition. I cant seem to find a gasket online for this, RTV black it together?

i have made my own gaskets for them tanks. then used a thin layer of gasket maker

I would suspect you could make one out of an old inner tube. They are usually just a rubber gasket. No sealer used. The rubber seals it.

Suggest you get new hold down straps 11 item and all new fasteners . I use permatex to seal top and bottom both sides .
I would recommend you have an assistant to help you assemble . Its very awkward to try and hold all that together .
Take your time ,it will turn out good .

Olsens gasket will make them for u. They are decent on price I felt. I have also used the cork gasket that comes in a roll.
Where did u get a radiator core?

If in Canada I always use Contact-Cement ....a 3M Product..........

thanks for all the assistance, I have to rod it out and get three snapped bolts out of the top first.
