Good morning Jim Ma

I'm NOT an Expert as per your question.

However,I do own two W9 Gas Tractors.

One left the factory with a LOW compression HEAD 9195-DA and is equipped to operate on Distillate/Kerosene.
View Picture.

The second W9 Tractor left the factory with a higher compression HEAD 8320-DB (SMALLER COMBUSTION CHAMBER) and is designed to operate on Gasoline.

I've installed the Higher Compression Head on my Tractor that was originally equipped with the lower Distillate /Kerosene Head .

The VALVES are NOT interchangeable between the tow heads,as well, the valves from the WD9 do NOT interchange with either of the W9 Heads.

If you check the W9 Engine Compression Ratio on the internet, you will see the Gasoline Engine has a higher Compression ratio.

As per PARTS BOOK.....There are many different PISTON assemblies at one time available, depending on the operating Altitude,as well as the FUEL,ie,GASOLINE...DISTILLATE..

thanks JD,

I really appreciated you taking the time to post this. This helps me out a great deal as many sites/dealers dont know the difference between the two and really don't want the distillate head.

thanks again
Jim
