WANTED: Ford 5000 Gasser

I'm looking for my Grandpas open station, wide front Ford 5000 gasser with a Ford loader. It was located in Wesley, Iowa and sold between September 2012 and March 2013. The buyer was located somewhere in the eastern half of Iowa.

Welcome, and good luck. Unless you know the serial number, you're never going to be sure. Also, by "wide front", do you mean that it was a row crop model in the 5000 series (actually called the 5200) that had the wide front option, or the general purpose ag chassis model, which also had a wide adjustable front axle?

It was a general purpose chassis.

There are a few more details, if you can remember them, that might help narrow down the range of years that it was made. Were the sides of the hood smooth, or were they louvered?

Louvered hood made prior to 4/1/1968 (usually had the "FORD 5000" decal on the side of the dash cowl). The pre-4/1/1968 models also have the wrap-around lower grill:

Smooth hood sides, made on and after 4/1/1968 (usually had the "FORD 5000" decal running along the full length of the hood. The 4/1/1968+ models also have the inset lower grill.:

They were louvered, and it was a 1968 model.
