It is going to be a long drive to work tomorrow. A levy just broke on a branch called Durgans Creek,it runs straight to the Mississippi. It also is north of US 24 that goes to Quincy IL by 3 miles. A lot of you know where the camper sales lot is along US 61 north of Taylor. That is the creek right next to it. Hannibal bridge is still open,so a 40 mile trip to work tomorrow,it was a 15 mile trip home from work tonight. Oh well, in 1993 the nearest open bridge was St Louis.

Looks like south or me and north of me have a lot of rain but in this area while we are ahead for the year if it getting dry. Pulling weeds in the garden today the ground is dry

I know where that is, I take 24 a few miles west of there to a little county road that bypasses the lake.

Same here, we've missed several of the rains that have hit northwest Missouri and south. I've still been reluctant to start mowing hay yet though since they seem to have rain in the forecast nearly every day.

By the way Old, do you go to the Jacob's Cave swap meet ever? I was there yesterday and today.

After all of tghe sky is falling last night, the levy commissioner and crew hauled rip rap(big rock)and pushed sand till they stopped the leak. The news and the county advisers all said that the levy was gone. It is still there, We are all good for now. and the water crested around noon yesterday.

Used to be Beilsteens Camper sales , way back when. Didn't know there was a levee behind him. A little further south, in my area, the West Alton levee breached today. About a month ago, the Elm Point levee in St. Peters breached. Tuesdays' river crest predictions are 2 feet under the flood of 93.

Hwy 15 north to Route E, to Newark, right on 156 and drive to the end. Ewing

It has been 35 plus years since I was up that way. Back when my parents lived in Shelbyville I was still in the Navy. My dad was the pastor of a church in that town.

its about 20 miles to Shelbyville from here. My Ag teacher from high school, lived east of SV and drove it every day.

The house my parents lived in was on the edge of town on a bad corner where if some one missed the corner they would/could hit the house and the church was next door to the house
