water jacker heater,

Anybody ever seen or put a block heater in a M water jacket, i seen one yesterday,It was brazed into the jacket of the left side, looked like it had been in their, for years, i suppose,it was from the straight weight oil days !!

I assume by ..jacket.. you mean the plate behind the carb, looks like IH referred to it as the ..Water Header Plate.. When someone says ..water jacket.. I usually think of the actual void cast in part where the water flows. Splitting hairs on the naming because I doubt anyone would attempt to braze it into the casting. Never saw one installed like that, we used a tank type heater on the M when we used it to grind feed and needed it to start anytime of the year with the 6 volt system.

That's what i meant, i am sure it wouldn't take a big one, to help there, i thought i had seen it all, but i was wrong!

I have an M that has a block heater brazed into the cover. It was that way when I got the tractor. Obviously worked.
