Water pump stuff

I"m installing a new water pump. Do I need to put anything on the pump gasket or radiator hoses to make sure they don"t leak?

You do not need to use any thing on the gasket or the hose unless you want to. I use a little and I do mean a little silicone sealer on the gaskets but that is more or less there to hold it in place so as to make it easy to install the part

I use Permatex Hylomar for all things using gaskets. I don't usually use the silicone stuff anymore.
