Water temp gauges

I'm trying to accumulate the parts I need to restore a UTS, M604 and G705. Not much is likely to happen until I retire in two or three years time, but I figure getting the parts on hand keeps the project moving. Just noticed some MM temp gauges (or gages for my US friends) on eBay. They have a 40 inch capillary tube which doesn't seem long enough for the 705. Does anybody know? The 705 has the original gauge which may work or is possibly salvageable, but definitely need one for the 604. The original is missing and it has a replacement mounted up on the hood. The UTS is very original apart from the temp gauge which has been replaced with a Smiths. Any advice greatly appreciated.

You're right, everyone wants to sell the 40" length which is about worthless for any tractor. My R took a 72" length to reach front of engine on top. Steiner's offers the longer one and I've seen other places. They are about $75 though, not the cheapy price of small one. They have catalog on line or call and order one.
