waterpump pulley

have 53 jubilee, has a 600 pump on it with long pulley, for aftermarket power steering.got a new pump, but came with no pulley, any way to get pulley off old pump and install on new, everything slse seems same. thought I'd ask before I tear something up. Was lockwasher inside old pulley took it off and tapped, but seemed pretty solid, any advice would be appreciated, Tom

Don't know EXACTLY how your's is set up, but typical waterpump pulleys are quite a tight press-fit on the WP shaft, takes a proper puller to pull it off, and a press to put it back on, while carefully supporting the other end of the shaft so there's NO load on the bearings.

Yea, I think I am sol, that'll teach me not to buy ebay, picture showed pulley exactly like mine, I'll use the gaskets and put old one back on, was only putting new on cause had radiator re-done, hope it lasts awhile, Tom

If you are anywhere near ND, I'd be happy to R+R it for you. Waterpumps aggravate lots of guys, but I enjoy working with them!
