The Waukesha Engine Historical Society would like to let all of Waukesha Engine, Waukesha Motor Co and ‘The Motor Works’ collectors know that we have changed our website. It is now at www.wehs.net, however you can still get to it from the old url www.waukeshaenginehistoricalsociety.org.

Here is a summary of the changes we made:

[b:654c4848f0]News and Articles[/b:654c4848f0] has become [b:654c4848f0]Reference, Articles and Stories[/b:654c4848f0] with 3 distinct tabs which are:
[b:654c4848f0]Reference Info[/b:654c4848f0] – moved the reference info from general articles so it would not get lost in other articles. An easy stop to help a collector. This is info we had on the old site and will be adding to in the future. “Old Manuals” has information on how to request a manual for an old engine you may have. We are a non profit organization of retired workers who volunteer our time and knowledge and do request patience and a donation to help us cover the cost of printing and shipping manuals. Sorry, but we do not sell parts.
[b:654c4848f0]WEHS Articles[/b:654c4848f0] – See the “Survivor” article. It is about the Waukesha Enginators recovered from the World Trade Center after Sept 11, 2001. WEHS is the proud owner of one of the recovered units.
[b:654c4848f0]Collector’s Stories[/b:654c4848f0] – We get inquiries every month and will be turning some of those into stories with photos. If you have a story you would like to tell, please email us at:

[b:654c4848f0]Photos[/b:654c4848f0] has become [b:654c4848f0]Tour[/b:654c4848f0]. The old site had a mini-tour. The new site has/will have 4 separate tours.
[b:654c4848f0]Museum Tour[/b:654c4848f0] – A visitor will be able to see everything we have on display in our museum: photos, engines, memorabilia, etc. There are ~400 photos and 90 web pages to accomplish this. Please read the instructions on the first page of the tour. The first paragraph is the same as on the old site but the second paragraph tells how to use the pages in the tour. Many of the subsequent pages have thumbnail pictures in the lower right with instructions just above the thumbnail.
[b:654c4848f0]Lobby Display[/b:654c4848f0] – A tour similar to the museum tour but of the front lobby display.
[b:654c4848f0]Plant Display[/b:654c4848f0] – A tour of the engines on display in the plant. This part is under construction.
[b:654c4848f0]Training Center Display[/b:654c4848f0] – A tour of the engines and photos at the Product Training Center. This part is under construction.
Our email address has changed from to . The old address will still be active for a few months.

If you have any comments or would like to see something added or know of something that would help other Waukesha collectors, let us know at .

Thanks everyone for your continued interest in Waukesha Engines or as we are now known Waukesha Gas Engine, GE Energy.
