WC Stubborn when hot

I have a 37 WC with crank start only.
Starts good when cold but starting after running is very diffacult when motor is still warm or hot.
Anyone have any tips.

It's partly the nature of the beast. We had a 36' WC purchased new by my dad in April of 36'. That tractor would start with 1/4 turn of the crank on a 30 below zero morning, every time. Full choke and the clutch disengaged and locked. It would be so cold that when we let the clutch out in neutral the engine would just about stall. But it would be balky about starting when hot. The dealer wanted my dad to replace the magneto with coil and distributor but we never did. To much to bother with, generator, battery, etc. It made a great tractor to haul out the manure with every day in the winter, though. And, we used it mainly for cultivating, raking hay, field work, where we'd start it in the morning and run it for hours and hours.
