WC timing marks

Have 37 WC with flywheel marks lining up at top access cover instead of bottom. All I have seen were at bottom. I first thought flywheel was installed 180 out or crank to cam marks were wrong. All that checked out.

WC's with electric start have the timing marks showing at the bottom since the starter covers the access cover, hand crank WC's have their timing marks at the top. The only odd thing that can happen is if a hand crank one has had the flywheel replaced and they used one off a electric crank one (will have a ring gear) then you have to time it from the bottom.
