WC, WD gearbox interchangeability

Is the distance from the engine face to the differential face the same between WC and WD? Can the gearboxes be interchanged?
There is nothing on a WC and WD that is the same. The engine being the one exception but the WD had more power.

What I really need to find out is if the distance from the differential face to the engine is the same between the two tractors. I have a WC that was converted to a forklift by John's Mfg. It has an aux frame for the forklift mast mounting. Engine went bye bye on the WC last spring and it had problems with 2nd and 4th gear for a long time, and the bellhousing is cracked. The WC trans is also in a bad place and puts the shifter in the way getitng on and off the forklift. A gearshift further back like on the WD would work better. So before I buy a WD to swap over, I'm just trying to see if the frame is going to work or will need serious mods. I really need to find someone with WD locally so I can take some measurements.
