Afriend of mine has one and is getting water in the oil during the winter, just checking for him are these wet sleeves.

Yes, they are wet sleeves.

I had one and the block cracked between the liners allowing them to work their way down into the block causing all kinds of problems.
Hope you are not having this problem.

They are wet and a pita !!!

Yes they are wet sleeves Old age or exessive heat can cause weeping,expecially in cold temps when things contract. O-rings most likly need to be replaced. If you fix this, have the head checked for truness. These heads are thin and if it isnt flat, you might end up with head gasket leakage.A simple shave job will correct this.
