WD 45 governor galloping

My 45 started galloping when I was plowing. Also going down hill with no load. Any suggestions.
MANY "governor malfunctions" turn out to be carburetor-related.

Try opening the main jet/load adjustment a half turn and see if there's any change, if you pay attention you can always put it back where it was if no improvement, or runs worse.

Or, the carb may has dirt or debris in it.

The various passages in the carb need to be clear so fuel flows properly as the butterfly changes position and causes a flow transfer between the idle and load circuits, this must occur smoothly or "galloping" can occur.

Of course, something MAY have gone amiss causing looseness or "play" in the governor or linkage.
