Hi,
I have been writing about my WD-9 IHC and have gotten some good advice which has all helped. It has always seemed to be having injector issues on cylinder number 1 (closet to the radiator) It has limited power and smokes blue when it is running. It has always acted like it wants to fire on that cylinder and sometimes I think it does. Today I was working on it and I took it out and ran a hay rake for awhile to see if working it would help. My brother was on it and when he shut if off he shut it off on the diesel side, not sure why but he did. Now I have tried to start it and the first time it back fired so bad that it blew the rain cap off the muffler. It backfire a couple more times before I decided to pull it home. On the way home I tried to start it on the diesel side being we were pulling it with the pickup. Others have told me this worked so I figured what did I have to loose. It started and ran like it always has limited power blue smoke etc. When I got home I tried to shut it off by switching to gas and it back fired so hard it sent carbon out the exhaust and all over the tractor, not to mention scared the (*&^%# out of my dad. I quick triped it back to diesel and tried it a couple more times with the same results. Even though it has been running tough it has never done this. Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Better yet anyone want to by this unit. Hand clutch and Power steering!
THANKS!
