WD oil pressure

My 53 WD has always run with the oil pressure between the "RM" in the "NORMAL" on the gauge. The last few times out moving snow with the loader it was been running at the "L" or past (high pressure) Any ideas what could be causing this? and should i be concerned?
Thanks for your help........Brennon

When was the last time you chaged the oil and oil filter. If your oil filter is getting clogged up the oil pressure could well be high since these old Allis tractor use a system that has a filter which if wrong will have no pressure but if clogged can have high pressure

One that sits for a long time can have the pipe in the oil; filter rust up and that in turn will plug it up and that can cause high oil pressure at least in theory

Old -- Would you please explain "if wrong will have no pressure"? My WD hasn't produced a reading on the guage in several years (runs 3-4 hours a year). I do have oil up top so haven't worried much about it, except I did pick up a used pump and was planning to do a switch to see if that makes a difference. Do I have wrong filter? Thanks.
