i have a wd frame found id numbers on left brake housing. the engine has WD275881GA stamped on it trying to find out if this is a wd or a wd45. it has a power crater sticker on it and dished pistons. just wondering if anyone knows what the id numbers mean? also hood says wd45 but the stroke seems to be 4" any help would be great

Shifter straight or is it curved??? Does the engine have a plate on the left side of the engine that is bolted on or is it solid cast?? Straight shifter says WD curved says WD45 or a very later WD. Plate on the side of the engine says WD/WC engine and no plate says WD45 engine

Serial number is by the left brake housing. SN 146607 and above is WD45. Stickers mean nothing. Curved shifter would mean a late 1952 WD or could be WD45, but SN means everything. Many WD upgraded to WD45 power.

The worst possible scenario is if it is WD engine (4" stroke crankshaft) with WD45 power-crater pistons. The compression will be very low that way, because the tops of the pistons would be lower in relation to the pin.
