WD rear cultivators

I just mounted a set if 2 row mounted cultivators on my Wd-45 that my Grandpa had on his WD. I have a parts manual but it doesn"t show how to mount them. I mounted them the only way I could see but every time I let them down and pull forward they drop off the 2 drawbar carrier studs. I have a snap coupler drawbar and I removed the support pins for the drawbar has to shift up and down I thought. I"m 56 years old and I haven"t cultivated since I was 15.I sure would like to know whatI"m doing wrong and any help would be appreciated.

you cant use the WD drawbar mounted on a wd45. a wd doesn"t have the slots in the bail so it can"t be removed without unbolting. the drawbar must be removed and the snap coupler extension bolted to the tool bar for it to work.

Remove drawbar from bail. Remove locating pins and let bail swing. Should be flat straps with studs out at end of strap and a hole farther back for a bolt. Hold bail up and put stud of strap in where locating pin was and a bolt through strap and into side of bail just above the shoe. Then hook up top brackets to lift arms.

Here is the picture.

You can't let the bail swing on a WD45 the ends are slotted for esay removal. as soonas you pull the locating pins it drops to the ground.
