My WD has serial # WD72618 cant find info in my book as to what year it is.

The 1951 models range from Ser. #72328 to 105181.

Thanks Brian. Isn't there 2 different gear
styles for the trans.

The transmission with the straight shift lever has straightcut sliding gears, the curved shift lever one has helical constant mesh gears.

You've got a good memory! That was in late 1952.

The WD-45 was introduced in mid 1953 with Ser.#146607
