Does anyone know the location of some 26 hubs and wheels to fit a WD9 / WDR9 or 600 IH that someone would be willing to trade for 34 hubs and wheels with tires?

I have a set of the rims, they have been repaired by a tire shop and are in excellent condition. Located in central Iowa.

Hi Kalven, are those rims the same as the 18x26 rims that for R 80 820 830 John Deere ? Or do they have a different drop center ? Ive also seen the Ws and 600 IH with small hub and 26 rim and an 8 bolt disk center bolted to them... I have pics of all those stiff but cant get them uploaded on here . Thanks Ben

I bought a set to put on another wd 9 that I have since sold. The salvage yard told me they were off of a 4020 standard. They fit real close to the fenders, the rims I have were offset more and had about 3 inches clearance. Sent these out to tire shop for repairs, young man that bought the tractor only had enough money for the tractor.

Interesting... I am much more familiar with 2 cylinder diesels and 4020s Than I am any red tractor.. This WDR9 is my first red project so its been a learning curve... years ago most of the W9 series here in FL that I saw all had the 23.1-26 tires on them, same with most of the big 2 cylinder diesels and 4010 standards... this particular tractor originally belonged to a big farming outfit by the name of Duda, and a lot of their stuff was painted yellow, to be easily recognized, so it had a different look.. was painted over with red years ago and is mostly rust now... was pretty neat to see all the highway yellow paint under hood and back side of nose cone when pulling apart..but this one has the 18.4-34 wheels. Would love to change it over to the big ones. I figured they would be easy to find down here but I was mistaken. I already have a new set of 23.1-26 tires in the barn to. Most of the 4020s had the 34 rims, most standards had a 23.1-30, as do two of ours .. only 4020s Ive seen with a 26 wheel were a low profile version.. regardless -if the ones you had fit your big 26 hubs thats all that counts. When you say they were about 3 from the fender , was that with tires mounted on them or just the wheel it self bolted to the hub?

The ones I have came off of a WD9. I
bought the others with tires on them and
put them on and had the others repaired.
Tire clearance was about 3 inches on the
original rims, the ones I put on it only
had maybe an inch of tire clearance.

there is about 3-4 inches of clearance with the 34" tires, with the 26" there is about 5'6 " clearance to the fender. that is on a 650 i
have and my friends 650 with 26" tires.
the 26" tires have less traction also.

Do you have these wheels for sale? I know Im a long ways from you.. I have a buddy thats in the restoration business that passes through that area once or twice a year. I wish I could figure out how to get pics uploaded on here . Thanks..
Ben

Hopefully this works.
