WE GOT RAIN

We finally got some rain yesterday and are supposed to get more today and tomorrow. From what the weather guessers are saying it's the longest we have gone without rain for 130 years. I drilled a post hole 3 days ago and for as far down as my digger went, the ground was powder dry. So very thankful for the rain here

Same here in central Ohio. We got an inch yesterday and last night. First rain of significance since the last week of July.

Well since bean harvest is upon us and we are dry with no gain to the crop. I can due without any rain now for a month and then just a little for the wheat after it is planted. Then dry till snow fall. Then we can have moisture.

We have moisture here in West Central Missouri again. Puddles outside my work. Came pretty hard this morning. Been slow and nice today. GG Wes
My rain gauge around 9:45 this morning said we had just under 2 inches of rain. I have not looked at it since then but I know we have received more since then

Great conditions for setting fence posts; when each 3" of dirt is tamped-in well the post will remain solid for many years. I have 3 cross-ties to set this dry weather, after a boy texting and driving ran through my line fence at the county road.

We have an inch or so on the way predicted for tomorrow here in southern Aroostook County Maine, The farmers are starting/about to start digging potatoes here so it's right on schedule, it seems every year if we are going to get a wet spell it happens when the crop needs out. That being said we haven't had any appreciable rain in the area since early July and if we don't get caught up with the ground water before freeze up it won't be a good time here this winter.

We got nearly 3" yesterday. Very thankful for every drop.
