Weak Hydraulics on 310A backhoe

Hello all.
I just pulled the destroke solenoide for the main Hydraulic pump on my JD 310A backhoe. I found that I can blow through the closed valve slightly. Could this be the cause for the low pressure and slow hydraulics on my machine ??

I think I might have found the problem, let me know what you think, and tell me how this would cause the slow and weak hydraulics?

Go to your local friendly Deere dealer and purchase a "test plug"..from a pump front cover..This plug goes where the solenoid came out from the side of the front cover..This will eliminate any guesswork..

The p/n of the plug is AR90378. Deere suggested list looks like $28.75.. that may vary by dealer. If you can track down a Deere mechanic, a good one anyway.. he'll have one in his box that you can borrow. They come installed in new pumps and are removed if a destroke solenoid is installed.

Thanks to all...

I have the test plug on order, it is $40 but I can't yell about that. I know the Solenoid valve is leaking and I think that any bit of a leak at 2200 psi will be shutting down my pump from loading.
I pulled one piston and see that the pump bearing is clean and clear so the pump is not galled.
