1 1/4 inches in rain gauge this AM, on top of almost an inch Monday. We did not get any tornadoes, unlike GA. In the night,, I was awakened by a brief shower including a brief splatter of hail. No damage that I can see. Someone in the area posted FB pics of a yard white with hail. News did not mention any hail damage in the area. This is the Spartanburg area of SC. Monday there were high winds in Union county which blew over a trailer and killed a 65 year old man.

Just cool temps and rain here in SE Iowa.

We have received about 2.5 inches the last 4 or 5 days.

Highs in the 40's.

About one day of Sun in the last 12 days.

The sun is trying to shine this morning.

40 windy in Terre Haute. Going down to 35 next two nights before warming up. No damage to report.

On national news I saw a lot of twisted metal, mobile homes and pole barns damaged.

Everytime I see twisted metal on news it reminds me of an old joke. "What do tornadoes and divorce have in common?" Sure bet someone will lose a either a pole barn or a mobile home.

I will also add, it's sad to see anyone die in a tornado. Many times when news reports a tornado, they tell people living in a mobile home to seek shelter.

Drove from St Louis to Columbus Oh yesterday and saw some of the heaviest rains I've seen in a couple years. Indianapolis was really bad last evening. Been lots of rain in the central part tof the country lately, from western Oh to eastern Ks anyway.

I've got a repeat of last Thursday. Wet snow mixed with rain, windy, just plain miserable. Only thing better today, nobody has driven through a fence. (Yet)

Down here in central NY we have all the rain we need and lots more.Flood warning in effect til Sat. and the Chenango river is flooding the fields along the river. Hauled some sandbags to a widow lady last night to make her feel better, but I don't think we will need them. Sure hoping we don't. Got a small stream out in back of the house and last night it was right at the top of it's banks. Neighbor said 2 days ago it was out of it's banks. Sure hope the fish don't drown, the problem could be fixed, but the state won't allow it.

Thank goodness we didn't get all the weather they were promising. We got about an inch of the white stuff overnight, were showing 4 to 6 inches on the map. We did get some amount of rain however. Temporary pond in my hayfield is half again what it was two days ago. Wild ducks still there, but wild goose went somewhere else. Was going to disk today, but with winds gusting to 30mph, and rain, temperatures in the low 40's, guess it will have to wait. Son down near Nashville has lost power. May have to run a generator down to him if they don't get him back on soon.

See comment below - Randy, If I have to run the generator down to Michael, I can stop by and run thru your fence for you!

Just trying to do you a favor, help you out. Wind opened the gate and sheep and llamas got out TWICE today. Figured you needed help.
