Hey All
My father acquired a very old compressor and we are trying to determine whether it is usable. It seems to run fine and builds pressure fairly quickly. Seems like there are no leaks and overalll it appears to be a serviceable machine.
I've attached a picture of the compressor to this post.
It seems to be a Webster 65, but I may be wrong.
After looking around this forum it seems like there are some knowledgeable Webster owners here.
We were wondering:
1. What is the coiled housing with the brass plug on the right side of the motor? (I've circled it in black in the picture.) I assumed it is a water condenser, but I'm not sure.
2. What type of oil should I put in this compressor? Webster went out of business in 1988 so I'm assuming there are no manuals to consult.
Thanks for your help everyone!
