Can anyone ID this grass for me? It has extremely fine seeds.

Maybe we need a weed of the day post to help us uneducated.

"Looks like what we call tickle grass to me. Google Agrostis Scabra and see what you think"

Well, the pictures I see of that looks like it grows in clumps. This seems to be individual stalks. I'm in central NY if that helps.

I'd agree with the guys who think it is Fall Panicum (Panicum dichotomiflorum). Pretty hard to ID plants, especially grasses, from low-detail photos, though.

That stuff is terrible this fall. This is a pic of an oat field combined earlier on
the farm. My cousin mowed some of it with disc mower conditioner yesterday but I think
he just wasted his time and may promote it even worse. If we get some rain, I will try
to plow it under. I'm not sure that I can plow under his windrows though.

Johnsons wonder grass.after developement wonder
was dropped.its bad in missouri worse in oklahoma
and texas

As they stated Johnson grass, it will take over everything if you don't watch out, I heard in Maryland you can get fined for
letting it grow on your land.

It's not Johnson grass, but I can see why people think it is. But with something near it for scale I think it would become more obvious. It's fall panicum.
