what do you guys use for grass killer? I cant see spending $20 for a gallon of weedkiller, when there must be something cheaper.

To kill grass only, but not desired plants, I
use "Grass-Be-Gone". You can spray it around
and even on "Good" plants...it kills only grass.
It"s available in a spray bottle, or in a
concentrate. (Note!!!!!, I can"t find it in Wisconsin, so I have to make a trip across the
river, to Minnesota, to buy it)

Like vegitation killer? I use glyphosate mixed a little strong with a glug of 24D in there and surfactant. It helps keep it away for a good while. I use this around buildings, fence lines, and drives.

f you want to KILL it and keep it that way, use this.
I found it will kill any type of vegetation including poison ivy and poison sumac. I spray it around my tree stands in spring and it looks like a nuclear fallout zone for the whole season. Use only on what you want to kill and not plan on planting anything where you spray it.
1 gallon vinegar, 1/2 cup salt and 1 tablespoon of dish detergent to stick it to the vegetation. Will kill it completely in less then a week.
Again, don't plan on planting anything where you use it for at least a year.
