weed mowing time

With no cattle on the pasture this year the weeds & dead rye grass is thicker than usual. I still haven't welded up the 8' Mohawk shredder repairs, so I'm using the 6' Howse behind the 860.

It goes pretty quickly in 4th gear, but sure is bumpy. Feels smoother in 3rd, but feels like crawling.

It really gives that rest-o-ride a workout...not to mention my back!

If my calculations are right, though, I'm cutting about 4-4 1/4 ac/hr in 4th vs. about 3 ac/hr in 3rd.

i cut in 5th gear on my 8spd 5000 or 7610s.. but it has a rops and spring ride seat and seatbelt..
