Weevils

How do you control weevils in ground corn storage? Currently stored in a feed room, they are everywhere. Thanks

How old is the feed? Try grinding the feed closer to or just before it will be fed.

I spray with 8 insecticide. Just did 2 bins today after i sprayed my pumpkins.

I get 5 tons every November after the pumpkin patch. He has a roller mill so we crack it as we are loading it. I know it isn't ideal to crack so far ahead before feeding, just makes it easier on my workload to not half to crack a little every month with my burr mill.

I can't say. how long is it in there at a time. We used to grind and bin about once a month for young stock and some times it would be several months and never had a problem regard less of when or how long before we fed it up. We ground a couple ton at a time. We put salt on with the oats and corn so maybe that kept them out.

We used to judge weevils in college............always pick the lesser of the two....
