Well.......Hell!

I had this well put down in summer of 2020. It sat completely exposed for a year and got covered in snow but never froze ( I did a good job of wrapping the wellhead and all the piping. The next winter we had a severe freeze and I quickly threw together a pump house, leaving the wellhead out side. I built this little “outhouse “ prevent the T on top of the well head from freezing(which happened in 23 &24) A drop light or small lantern works fine. It is my intention to enlarge the pump house about three feet to protect the wellhead from freezing.

A waterlogged bladder tank means you need a new tank,
Air is a temp fix.
The rust may be coming from water getting past the bladder.
The rust may mean you need an RO water filter too. .
If you look back in the thread............I checked for water in the tank after it had been drained. It's fine.

The "rust" shows up as "rust" in the pic. It's the effect of the crappy flash I have on the crappy camera. I MISS MY CANNON ELPH!!

The deposits are actually whiteish.

Speaking of which............Did a load of laundry today, and the doggone cold water inlet to the washer is plugged again

The minerals in the water plug up the little screen on the cold water line inlet for the washer. Have to pull the hose off about every 4 months to clean it out. Never happens on the hot water inlet, because the sacrificial anode in the hot water tank gets the minerals out of the water.
