Well pump help update

I wanted to thank everyone for all the great info.

I was able to get a generator over to the property Saturday. I hooked the pump up to 120 volt (just did
about 5 seconds) and did not get anything from the pump. tried it a second time and not a thing. so I wired
it up to 220 volts and the pump came to life and within 2 seconds I had water from the pipe that comes out
of the ground under where the trailer had set Lots of water. so now I know it runs on 220 volts and that
is what I had been trying to find out.

Thanks again Petert

Thanks for the update! It's always best to run a pump on 240 if you can, less line loss. When we ran a pump on 120 at our cabin the lights would dim for a second when it started, now the new pump is on 240 and you don't even notice it.
