well thats no fun!

pulled into the gas station this morning on the way too work, and sounded like a garden hose running under my truck.. put in $10 of fuel and most had leaked out withing a mile.. just made it home.. fuel line under the fuel filter was dry rotted.. burst almost in two (don't know how it still ran) talk about a bad start too the day..

I guess that is the upside to high fuel prices, at least you didn't loose a lot of fuel.

I got lucky a couple years ago. I was on my way to work after school at 9:30 in the AM going about 70 MPH, and all of a sudden it dies with a strong smell of gas. I pop the hood and crawl underneath to find the fuel line popped off the engine side of the filter.... Pushed it back on and went to work. Never could figure it out, but I had that filter replaced shortly after.
