I don't know how you can stand those cranes but more power to you. You'll like the sandhills, very nice country and them ol boys up there are a different breed. Hardworking, and close knit. I hope you could find a branding going on up there. It'd be something I'd think you would enjoy.(quoted from post at 06:05:53 03/09/13) BTW, Husker, we are coming to Nebraska in 2 weeks for a spring vacation. Yeh, I'm gonna be one of those crazy "crane people" in Kearney! We will also spend time in Grand Is, North Platte and Valentine. Want to go get lost in the Sandhills for a while . I have lived in 12 states in my 70 years, from New York to Oregon, to Alabama, but never spent any time in the Great Plains. We will be there 2 weeks, just moseying around, following our nose and looking for adventures!
There were 2 houses across the road to the north and a brick building that I'm guessing was a school house. There was a slide and swing set next to it. All of those buildings were in well kept shape also. I got my tank picked up out of a shed west of the church about a 1/2 mile on the north side across the bridge.(quoted from post at 11:21:01 03/09/13) I grew up about 15 miles West of that church. In the 20's or 30's Dad's family lived right across the road from it.
I met the fellow where the gravel road meets the highway on the west side of town. I could have had coffee with you! Fellows name was Eldon H. that I got the tank from. I don't want to spell his last name on here, he may not want to be published!(quoted from post at 16:33:31 03/09/13) Aw heck, you were only about 20 minutes from me, in Lebanon.
