Halex air compressor built for IH.

A builder here has one like it that is equipped with a gas engine and an auto unloader.

Home built air compressor, a little crude, but probably functional! I have built a few of them using automotive air conditioner pumps, mostly the Chrysler 2-cylinder V's. they work well but get pretty hot if run continuously as they don't have any cooling fins, like this one.

Truck compressor, somrbody built a portable unit out of it.Without fins, that is SUPPOSED to be water cooled,as it was on the truck.Ports have been plugged. For part time use around a shop that'll be fine.On a truck that thing spins every second the truck is running. It has the truck governor on the head, that kicks the unloaders in at just under 125 LBS.I'm guessing it's being lubed by it's own sump,I see the added oil fill pipes. On the truck they have a line feeding it engine oil pressure, and a drain back to the crankcase.

Those old little construction compressors are almost worthless. If the motor is good, I'd save it, box it, and put it on the shelf for a future need. Scrap the rest.

carpenters use them small units to run their air Nailers and such because they are small units they have to pack around. due to its small volume its not worth fooling around with as it has seen its life already. be some parts on it maybe like the cutout switch.

flip it over and tap it with a small hammer , many times they get pin holes from the rust inside from not draining them each use.
