Guys.......a week ago, I drove fer 3-hrs north to Canadian border to deliver an equipment trailer fer my Australian Shepherd Club to hold a weekend stockdog trial. When I got home, (6-hrs on the road) my boot was full of "water". Now I know living in the great NorthWET, there is plenty of opportunity to step in water, but really it hazzn't rained fer weeks. So Wednesday morn I woke up with the bottom 6" of my jammie leg WET, I went to the Doc's Off and he got all excited. Gave me an envelope and sent me to ER. ER what??? Emergency Room sez the nurse. ER? I ain't haffin' no heart attack, just a little "leak". So I gitt checked in to the ER fer $75 (cheap???) plus medicare and the next thing I know I'm flat on my back being wheeled from the Emergency Room and into a 2-bed horsepittel room. Except fer being pricked and prodded every 4-hrs, (IV + anti-biotic) was an interesting experience. Surprizingly enuff, hospital food wasn't too bad, 'cept fer needin' some salt. (had lottza little paper packs of black pepper) Never did gitt that jello everybody complains about. So 1-week later, I'm home and NO internet!!! Been playing solitaire fer 4-days'n'nites. Saturday, my son comes up from Portland with "gifts", now I got sumptin' to text him with. Seems he just gotta pay raise and squandered it on his ol'man. Now I gotta read the instructions, written in 4-languages 'cept 'merican. (frown) And the internet is ON!!! Bottom line, my health'n'welfare visit to Farmington, N Mex to check on my Alzheimer'd sister is OFF until Sept? Oct? when it is cool in N Mex again. 'sides, I don't think I could shift the 4-speed tranny in my midlife crisis (1976 MGB sports car) with size #13 open toe sandals. Now all I haffta do is wait fer the bills to come in, eh? .......Dell

I didn't see what it was that caused the water. Hope all is well.
The MGB didn't haul that trailer, that musta been the Dodge.
Skip the sandals. Go barefoot and drive the MGB like ya stole it! :)

dell, you sure got my curiosity up , i thought you were getting at a leaking heater core or something . i hope you post what you find out . i dont know about you but i hate e.r. visits , a few weeks ago i had to make a visit to the e.r. for shortness of breath and chest discomfort and got in a line of people with the flues . ( the kind of people that arent going to pay the bill anyway) sat in a wheel chair for 7 1/2 hours. anyway , the best of luck.

Dell you got me. I thought you were gonna have an ironic ending to ur story. Was expecting to hear about a Golden Shower not Golden Years.

Trust me the jello and powered eggs...you can't tell the difference. But if that is what it takes to get better than go eat them as many times as you need to until you get all past what ails ya.

Nothing like driving the open road. Keep driving and don't look back.

Hang in there Dell. Wondered why I hadn't seen any post from you lately. Guess we all leak a bit when we get older. Never had problems with my feet getting wet, but sometimes my knees show a little dampness...... and that is the "long and short" of it. LOL

Great . now I got to get me some boots since it is getting deep in here? What was the problem anyway. ? I turn 55 this month and itsnot much fun. Trying to get my external_link to pay for my diabetes meds so I can stay off insulin and keep my cdl.

Dell, hope you get well, but won't you please tell us what was causing the water? I'm getting up there in years too and would like to know about the things to watch for.

Cary.........at 77-yrs, they've diagnosed me with type-2 diabetes, base upon my blood work. They've given me some pills to help balance things out. Dunno, but I've been stuck so many times I feel like a shower head. I'm goin' back in tomorrow (5-May) fer follow-up consult. Gonna complain 'cuz BOTH my lower legs are swollen up like super baloney sausages. ........ol' limp-along Dell

Wow, I was hoping it wasn't something sounding so serious. I'm only 68 right now but not looking forward to this old age crap.

I wish you the best Dell and I'll send some prayers along your way.
