You will like the router with the guide! I don't see how anyone could free hand a router, I sure can't!

A planer attachment is just a straight, wide cutter in the router for planning the edges of a board, like a jointer.

The guide will also let you put bevels, chamfers, all kinds of edge work, straight and true!

Yes, that kit is often used by finish carpenters when hanging doors. Nowadays, most buy prehung sets, but back in the day that planer was the best thing for the job. And with some templates, the router did the hinge inlets.

You did it really good!!

The planner attachment is a great tool. I never had one but use my Mikita power plane a lot. That attachment is worth way more then you paid for the whole package.

That looks like a great router edge guide. Router is almost a shaper now. That looks like a good 4x24 belt sander. They make some serious course belts called planing belts for removing a lot of material quickly. Good for rough stock. You done good!

LOOK OUT LARRY!!
The police might be a-comin' fer ya!! 8)

I wasn't expecting much when I saw the smaller sander and the circular saw, and I would REALLY like to see the other side of that larger sander -- BUT.....you made a STEAL with that router set! Man-O-man how I would have LOVED to have had that back when I was doing residential work (home repair and improvements). Even after that phase of my life, I probably would have used it fairly often in my shop. Sure wish I had a shop now -- along with a body that could make good use of it. But WOW!!, I'm gonna be flippin' out about your jointer/planer attachment all night long! ;-)

Well done, sir!!
