I bought what I thought was a MF 50 (Tricycle). I pressure washed today and found it was originally painted Gold entirely except for rims.I've never read anything about any MF--MH or Ferguson 40 being Gold. Same Gold as the MH555 chassis. Could this be a special tractor? Could anyone give me info? Thanks Mickey

The only one I ever saw like that was in pieces, but the owner said these had the 'Massy Harris' scalloped hoods. And the sheet metal was red, just gold in place of gray- so he says, pretty knowledgeble feller....

The hood is different on top edge. It looks like some of the Massey Harris. The gold is under hood, air pipe, behind grill screen, power steering, valve cover, brake housing. Entire tractor was Gold. I know sheet metal was the only difference between the 3 models. It may have been a MH 50. I'm 3th owner, 2nd owner said it had always been red. People always wanted to paint them red. I have a Grey Pony, F40 and they were both red with MF decals.

My Dad always said that one of the best ways to ruin the value of a tractor or piece of equipment is to paint it the wrong colors. If someone is going to go through the effort to repair/prep/paint something, atleast make sure all the colors are correct!!! The MHF 50 should have red tin work with a gold body. [/img]

The hood, fenders are gold on this one. It's the first color over a light color primer. Then someone painted it solid red. Underside of hood is still gold.
