I bought this old 2n that was sitting in a field and missing parts. Any idea what bolts on here below the battery box? Looks like they had done a 12 volt conversion some time ago. Hole with greasey residue and a mounting bolt on either side. Thanks for the help!

(quoted from post at 09:54:08 03/30/16) That's the safety starter solenoid mount.
t was manual push button switch, not a solenoid.
Agree, original mechanical starter switch.
Switch had a gasket behind it (9N11467) to keep the splash lube
for the steering from leaking out. I wonder why it's so clean.

Naw, it's a toothbrush holder.

this picture is timely, i just pulled that white bolt. i didn't like the way the tool box wiggled around on the two existing bolts at the top, so i added a bracket there.

i don't have a toothbrush installed :(

but, in my defense - i am in the midst of the world's slowest engine rebuild, and during the whole thing, there's been a toothbrush on the seat. now i know where it goes, and mine's an oral b too, so i should be all set :)
