Anyone know what this is. It is on auction and nobody knows what it is.
 
Seeing this made me remember I have one on the shelf.Haven't used it in probably 40+ years,since I got a small lathe.I took some pictures so I can advertise it.If I don't get interest at $50. I can always put it back on the shelf.It has 4 different size collets with it,and that piece of strap iron is something I bolted on there to hold it in a vise.

I'd bet that one with the spur gears like a hand drill would work better than mine,because it wiould actually spin it up.Mine just turns at the speed I can crank.Mine does work good,but I think that one would work better.The different size collets are almost always missing,they are all laying in somebodys toolbox somewhere.
