What is this Tool?

found this tool in a buddies tool box he got for free from an old tool designer. Anyone know what this is? Looks kind of like its meant to bend wire or tubing, jaw doesnt open up very far.

Handy tool. Could have used it when I replaced wall to wall carpet with hardwood flooring. A lot of nails and staples to pull.

Would work well to pull finish nails through moulding when remodeling. I’ve always just used vice grips.

Got one I use all the time pulling nails.

Handy tool. Could have used it when I replaced wall to wall carpet with hardwood flooring. A lot of nails and staples to pull.

Robo pliers work great for that. The tip can grip most anything staples no problem.

I have one. Bought it a long time ago in the clearance bin at TSC. At the time I thought it was kind of silly, but it has proven to be very handy.
