what is this?

I dug up this metal part the other day, not more than a foot deep in our yard, about 100 feet from the oldest barn. We live on a farm in Virginia, which has old barns, probably Civil War era, was and is a working farm. The part is heavy, probably cast iron, with a date (1886) and a number (35) on one side. There is a hole on the triangular projection on one side. The backside (not shown)is flat. The left side is broken at a circular raised hole.

Any thoughts on the origin? Agricultural part, maybe?

Just curious, and haven't found any other pieces, yet!

Is that a slot in the beveled part? If so,there might have been a wedge that held it to the side of the plow.
