Found one in bottom of rear steel wheel of Fordson this weekend at Pioneer Steam and gas engine society show. The mud was so sloppy , it rolled into a balls like that inside the rear wheel .

looks like a ball under a Howe drive over scale, 2 under each corner. sure would get a bad look if you slammed on the brakes when parking on the scale.

I found a hair ball that shape once. It came from a young steer. Its mother had a very hairy udder. And the steer ingested a lot of hair. Once he got a bit bigger the polished hairball passed through his system and I found it it the manure.

I found a mud ball the size of a softball inside a tubeless tire. I called it a mud roller.
