Guys, I just picked up a Massey Ferguson tractor. Sn tag is missing on dash. The engine is a Perkins A4-212.
16.9 x 30 rear tires, 6 speed with multi power.
What model is this ? 165, 168, 175 ????

Post a complete tractor pic from the front corner Them bits and pieces of a tractor do nothing. Plus look on the serial number , just as much help as the picture.

Guessing a 168 with the European hand brake lever in the photo. The US late 165 gas used the Perkins AG4.212, diesel used the AD4.203. The early 175 gas was the Continental G206, late gas was the Perkins AG4.236. All 175 diesels had A4.236.

There is no serial number plate. Thats the problem

I think the UK 165 would have had the A4.212 Perkins diesel from 1968, and up instead of the 4.203.

Join the club. I have a theory that there is a rich guy who collects those serial number plates and he sends out his operatives all over the country to look for those plates.

Mine is missing and I've heard a bunch of guys here complain about the same thing. :wink:
