What size tires?

What size tires are people running on their CC's with the original cast centers and bolt on cast rims? I just got a set and they are 6 wide. The tractor already sets low in the back with 12.4-36 (new) on cutoffs. Looking for recommendations.

All of my cc case tractors with factory rims all have the 12.4x36 tires. The ones with cut offs vary one had 10x36 and one had 11x36. The cc that was my dad's had cut offs and they put 11x38 tires on in 1940. The cc will sit more level with 12.4x38 tires on it. Most towns had a tire shop that was set up to cut the steel wheels and weld a rim on. Guess it depended what size rims and tires the dealer had on hand when you came in to buy

Bill, I took a walk out and looked at a cc of mine that has the bolt together rims. The fronts are 600x16 and it has 11.2x36 rears but the tires are too large for the rims.I didn't have a tape but guessing it only has about 8 inch rims so would of had 900x36 tires from new.If yours are only 6 inches wide then it had a very narrow tire when new.

My primary question, just to clarify, was what size tires are people running on the factory cast wheels. So, here is the thought I had today. Being new to having my hands on these wheels, I took another look at them. What I saw was a three piece design. Two pieces are the outer beads and the third piece is the center. Then my brain went back to something I've seen on a guy's SC. It looked like a ring weight bolted to the cast center. I questioned them being just weights at the time, but he insisted. I couldn't refute what he was telling me....until now. They were spacer rings for these cast wheels! At least I'm pretty sure. Now if I could find my parts book to look it up.
