What tool brand do you use

I use DEWALT and Bauer. Both a good,

beckham
mastercraft and black and decker. I hate that they discontinue them all the time. I like what i have and then 4 years later we no longer make it. when these are wore out I am not sure what brand I will go to. thinking Milwaukie, as They seem to keep the same battery for years. The ones I have probably last 5-10 years yet. they are 5-10 already and still do the job.

That's one reason I stick with major brands on cordless.
An the major brands have a better selection of specialty tools
Tried battery adapters an they are fine for occasional use but for daily use they add bulk an can be annoying

I use Ryobi 18v cordless for all my power tools. Drill, half " impact, 3 4 1/2" grinders so I don't have to keep changing disc type, Chop saw, circular saw, multi tool, reciprocating sae, Saber saw, 3/8 impact, 1/4" hex drive impact, sprayer, pole saw , weed wacker, tire pump, and I'm sure I missed some. Also 40 volt chainsaw, weed wacker, and pole saw. 🧑‍🌾

Craftsman, started buying them in 69, wrenches and power tools, still have them! My dad bought a set of Craftsman wrenches in 1940; I still have most of them. Now I buy some HF, they seem OK.

I'm with Tony. I have been buying more of the top shelf stuff at auctions and other sales . Some was bought many years ago like in the 70's to the 90's for the later stuff. When I was out west on wheat harvest I would hunt pawn shops for tools since I needed toold for the fixing and the service truck was so robbed I had to deal with that and with all the metric junk on them I had to ad to my tool list there. So they were the way to go since tool trucks didn't come to the filed nor where we were. Now I'm just trying to justify the cost against time for me with probably only another 15-30 years to go. I would be between 80and a hundred by then.

Makita and porter cable. At the farm it’s dewalt and the uncle has Milwaukee so it’s nice to keep different colors you can tell 100 feet away whose is what.

If money was no object and I got to pick it would be Milwaukee with dewalt a close second

The porter cable is a more budget friendly option nowadays from black and decker and is what I started with then the place that sold them switched and now they are back at TSC! With the makita so I guess it all worked out after 10 years.

The porter cable I did use up 2 handheld saws, a sawzall and a little impact driver.

Those three items have been replaced with makita with the only failure being the screws in the makita sawzall.

I’ve never seen my uncle replace a Milwaukee tool. I’m sure he has.

The dewalts we go through one half inch impact every 5 years there’s a spare in the drawer but it gets daily use at the minimum. There is a different level of quality in the 2 brands.

Strangely enough both grease guns Milwaukee little battery

Own nothing but DeWalt when it comes to Cordless power tools.

Hand tools range from my dad's large collection of Snap on and Mac tools he used as a heavy equipment mechanic in the 70-80s. (those rarely leave the boxes). Everyday use can be anything from Benchtop (Kmart brand) to Snap on.

Carry mainly Pittsburgh or other cheap tools in our trail rigs. I would rather forget and go off and leaving a $2 Pittsburgh ratchet laying in the dirt than a $100 Snap on.
