What will it take?

I have an intrest in getting into lawn tractor pulling. I want the tractor to apear stock and maybe even use it ourside of pulling. Maybe in the 1100 or 1300 lb class. My question is what would be an estment for building one out of an old Cub? I have shop and can get alot done there myself. If I have the # right I am looking to build on a 182 frame. Any ideas? Right tractor? Something better? Save my $ and move on? I'm new to this idea and any help would be great. I have no idea where to start.

First find a club and get some rules first. Then decide what class you want to pull in. ex(stock, altered, pro, open) Then go on the web and see some pics of what you like on how others are designed. Brian Miller has a great website. Also Midwest super cub, Zach Kerber Machine, Lakota racing, lane performance and nichols machine. Then start your design and then build your puller. GOOD LUCK
