What Year and Model

Just aquired a Ford 4cyl. turbo diesel tractor.
The ID tag is missing under the hood and the numbers on the bellhousing aren"t making sense.
6B6B- (I assume is 1966 Feb. 6 Daylight)
B(star)008572
E255
The number on the engine is RD039774E255.
Any help would be appriciated.

I don't see a model number in any you listed. The one starting with B should be the serial number, indicating a Basildon-built tractor. 6B6B should be the date code, but Ford didn't build any turboed tractors until '69... and no (factory)turboed 4-cylinders until '72, so I'd say it's a '76. If it's an ag model, it should be a 7600. If an industrial, I'm not sure, but I think it would be a 750 or 755. I believe those were the only 4-cylinder turbo models in 1976.

Checked my sales literature... only 4-cylinder models in '76 were the 7600 (all-purpose, and for '76 only, a rowcrop was also available) and 750.

Mike- good to see you posting again!

Thanks for the help Ford. Sorta guessed that it was and English built but wasn"t positive. I"m going to go at the bellhousing again and see if I can"t come up with the missing numbers.
